We built Bowzy to make it easy to share information with your friends and pets around you. This Bowzy privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") is intended to inform you of our policies and practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of any information you submit to us through Bowzy. This includes "Personal Information," which is information about you that is personally identifiable such as your name, e-mail address, user ID number, and other non-public information that is associated with the foregoing, as well as "Anonymous Information," which is information that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information and does not permit the identification of individual persons. We understand you may not want everyone in the world to have the information you share on Bowzy that is why we give you control of your information. Our default privacy settings limit the information displayed in your profile to your networks and other reasonable community limitations that we tell you about.


Personal Information that You Provide
Bowzy’s Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect and use your personal information you decide to share, By accessing or otherwise using Bowzy, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into and forms a part of the Bowzy terms of service (set forth on http://www.bowzy.com/social/help/terms). You expressly consent to the processing of your Personal Information and Anonymous Information according to this Privacy Policy.
When you visit Bowzy you provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected by us and Web Site use information collected by us as you interact with our Web Site.
When you register with Bowzy, you provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, your email address, your telephone number, your address, your gender, and any other personal or preference information that you provide to us.
An "Internet protocol address" or "IP Address" is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. In some cases your IP Address stays the same from browser session to browser session; but if you use a consumer internet access provider, your IP Address probably varies from session to session. For example, we, or our service providers, may track your IP Address when you access Bowzy to assist with ad targeting.
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience with Bowzy. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following your Internet browser help file directions. In order to use our services offered through Bowzy, your web browser must accept Cookies. If you choose to disable Cookies, some aspects of Bowzy may not work properly, and you may not be able to receive our services.
When you use Bowzy, you may set up your personal profile, form relationships, send messages, perform searches and queries, form groups, set up events, add applications, and transmit information through various channels. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features. In most cases, we retain it so that, for instance, you can return to view prior messages you have sent or easily see your pet friend list.
You post User Content (as defined in the Bowzy Terms of Use) on the Site at your own risk. Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access to your pages, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you may choose to share your pages and information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that User Content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site. You understand and acknowledge that, after removal, copies of User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your User Content.
Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on Bowzy is a violation of the Bowzy Terms of Service and should be reported through the Help Center.
If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend's email address. We will send your friend an email or instant message in your name inviting him or her to visit the site, and may send up to two reminders to them. Bowzy stores this information to send invitations and reminders, to register a friend connection if your invitation is accepted, to allow you to see invitations you have sent, and to track the success of our referral program. Your friend may contact us through the Help Center to request that we remove this information from our database.
By using Bowzy, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may also enable advertisers and ad servers to promote third-party products and/or services by placing advertisements on Bowzy. These advertisers and ad servers may use Cookies and/or "Web Beacons" (which are usually small, transparent graphic images) in order to monitor information related to served advertisements. Clicking on such advertisements will direct you to the website of a third-party and the advertiser. This Privacy Policy does not cover the privacy practices of any advertisers or ad servers.
Children Under Age 18

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use Bowzy, and we do not intentionally collect or maintain Personal Information from those who are under 13 years old. Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. Thus, if we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove that user's Personal Information permanently from our databases. We recommend that children between the ages of 13 and 18 obtain their parent’s permission before submitting information over the internet. By using Bowzy, you are representing that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are at least 13 years old and have a parent’s or guardian’s permission to use Bowzy



Use of Information by bowzy
When you register with Bowzy, you create your own profile and privacy settings. Your profile information, as well as your name, email and photo, are displayed to the website visitors/members to enable you to connect with pets and there families on Bowzy. We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by Bowzy that we think you may find valuable.
Profile information is used by Bowzy primarily to be presented back to and edited by you when you access the service.
Profile information you submit to Bowzy will be available to visitors/users of Bowzy. Your name, and profile picture thumbnail will be available in search results across the Bowzy network and those limited pieces of information may be made available to third party search engines. This is primarily so your friends can find you and send a friend request. People, and pets who see your name in searches, will not be able to access your information you marked as private unless they have a relationship to you (friend, member of your networks, etc.) that allows such access based on your privacy settings. Bowzy may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. For instance, if a friend sends you a new message or poke, or someone posts on your wall, you may receive an email alerting you to that fact.
Generally, you may opt out of such emails from the Notifications page, though Bowzy reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.
Bowzy may use information in your profile without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating how many people in a network and personalizing advertisements and promotions. We believe this benefits you. You can know more about the world around you and, where there are advertisements, they're more likely to be interesting to you.
Sharing Your Information with Other Members

We offer you choices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Information. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When you receive promotional communications from us, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further promotional communications from us and you will have the opportunity to "opt-out" by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the promotional e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly at help@bowzy.com.
Despite your indicated email marketing preferences, we may send you administrative emails regarding Bowzy, including, for example, administrative and transactional confirmations, and notices of updates to our Privacy Policy if we choose to provide such notices to you in this manner.
You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your Personal Information, please contact us at help@bowzy.com. We may charge a reasonable fee for this service. We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up-to-date. You may ask us to correct or remove information which you think is inaccurate. You may change any of your profile information by editing it in the profile settings page.
Bowzy is about sharing information with others — friends and pets in your networks — while providing you with privacy settings that restrict other users from accessing your information marked as private. We allow you to mark limited number of information as private so not all can view that information (including photo albums, etc). We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service, 2) legally required or, 3) permitted by you.
For example:
Your News Feed and Wall may aggregate the information you provide and make it available.
We may occasionally provide demonstration accounts that allow non-users a glimpse into the Bowzy world. Such accounts have only limited capabilities (e.g., messaging is disabled) and passwords are changed regularly to limit possible misuse.
We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through the Bowzy service or using the Bowzy name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.
When you use Bowzy certain information you post or share with third parties (e.g., a friend or someone in your network), such as personal information, comments, messages, photos, videos, may be shared with other users. Please keep in mind that if you disclose personal information when posting in profile, comments, audios, videos, this information may become publicly available.

Bowzy may contain links to other websites. We are of course not responsible for the privacy practices of other web sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Bowzy.


Changing or Removing Information
Access and control over most personal information on Bowzy is readily available through the profile editing tools. Bowzy users may modify or delete any of their profile information at any time by logging into their account. Information will be updated immediately. Individuals who wish to deactivate their Bowzy account may do so on the My Account page. Removed information will be deleted instantly from Bowzy.

Where you make use of the communication features of the service to share information with other individuals on Bowzy, however, (e.g., sending a personal message to another Bowzy user) you generally cannot remove such communications.

Security

We are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Even though we have taken significant steps to protect your Personal Information, no company, including us, can fully eliminate security risks associated with Personal Information.
