It's political silly season again. This time our pet friends are in the spotlight. President Obama is being hammered for a short passage in his memoirs Dreams for My Father. According to the passage, Obama ate dog meat when he was a child living in Indonesia.
Cultures are different all over, but not Fido!!. It looks like the story is going viral, and of course Republicans are making a small fact into a huge problem.
Let's not forget, however, that Mitt Romney has his own doggie troubles. On a family trip, Mitt decided that it was a good idea to strap his dog, Seamus, to the roof of the family car. The happy Romneys flew down the highway with poor Seamus hunkered down on the roof.
Our pet friends have arrived on the political radar. If only they could vote!
Pets and politics have always been mixed together. Remember when Khrushchev gave that dog to JFK? Here's a link to presidents and their pets, in honor of man's best friend.
